Breakfast stools are known for being much shorter than regular bar stools, and for this reason alone, not to mention what the name implies, many people shy away from investing in breakfast stools. Chrome plated breakfast stools with black cushions would look great in a New York loft, or smaller wooden ones with bows at the edges of the cushions could look great in a rustic cabin, for example.
